What is Remote Online Notarization?

Remote Online Notarization (RON) is a process where documents are legally notarized electronically using secure online technology. Instead of meeting in person, the notary and signer connect via a video conferencing platform, allowing the notary to verify the signer's identity, witness the signing, and apply an electronic notary seal. This can be done anywhere and anytime.

Tips for a Successful
Remote Online Notary Appointment

At Legendary Notary, we’re dedicated to offering convenient and secure remote online notary services. To ensure your appointment goes smoothly, please follow these tips:

1. Use the Right Device:  Make sure your device has a camera and microphone, such as a laptop, desktop, or tablet, to effectively communicate with the notary during your appointment.

2. Secure Internet Connection:  A strong, reliable internet connection is crucial. Be sure your connection is stable to avoid any technical issues.

3. Prepare Your Document:  Ensure the document you need notarized is properly formatted and ready for signing. The notary cannot make any changes during the appointment.

4. Be On Time:  Arriving on time is important. Late arrivals may require rescheduling, causing delays.

5. Have Valid ID Ready:  You will need a valid government-issued ID, such as a driver’s license or passport, ready to show during the appointment.

By following these simple steps, you can help ensure a successful remote notarization. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Michelle for assistance. We’re here to make your experience smooth and stress-free!
